Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I report a problem I observe in the City?

For small day to day issues, the City uses a program called A2 Fix It to log problems residents observe. Use A2 Fix It to report a pothole, missed cart pickups, snow on sidewalks, traffic sign problems, and more. City Council members and City staff are asked to use this program as well, so it is the most effective way to report a problem you observe. You can even get on app on your phone to make reporting more convenient.

How do I know who to contact at the City about an issue?

Here are a few good places to start:

And always feel free to reach out to me if you don’t find the help you're needing.

How do I report a traffic problem or request traffic enforcement?

If you want to report speeding on your street or any other issues related to traffic enforcement, the Police Department asks residents to fill out this form. I hope you’ll also let me know, so I can better understand where problem spots are across our Ward. However, traffic issues are often the result of poor community design which means enforcement alone won’t fix the problem. The City is focused on engineering and education solutions to address systemic issues. Learn more about planning efforts here.
